Chadd traveled to the Pacific Northwest, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden with the Tucker Family!

Stella Michael and Lilly Tucker (5th grade, 3rd grade and Kindergarten) and their buddy Chadd the Charger took 2 road trips this summer!  The first was to the Pacific Northwest and the Canadian Rockies, where they visited 7 National Parks (Jasper, Banff, Waterton, Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Mount Rainier) and 5 states.  They also visited Seattle’s Pike Place Market, where they spent 1 hour in line waiting for their famous Pike Place Chowder.

During this trip, they drove the famed Icefields Parkway, saw fantastic landscape, and stood on a glacier and drank from it!  Amazing!  One of their favorite things they did was hike around Mount Rainier in 4 feet of snow in 80 degree weather.  They thought that was terrific! They saw lots of animals on the trip, including bison, bears, coyotes, moose, and elk.

For their second trip, they flew to “The Land of Fire and Ice”, Iceland, where they witnessed some of the coolest landscape in the world.  They drove the entire island, where they saw glaciers, black sand beaches, volcanoes, tons of waterfalls, bubbling mud pots, hot springs, geysers and jagged cliffs.  They were lucky enough to wake up one night and see the Northern Lights.  They also enjoyed swimming in the Blue Lagoon and whale watching in the Greenland Sea!

They saw lots of puffins, black sheep and Icelandic horses.  Their favorite thing they ate were lamb hotdogs, which are super popular in Iceland.  They also enjoyed eating reindeer, lamb, and mussels.

After Iceland, they flew to Norway, where they took a train ride and a cruise through the fjords.  Finally, they drove to Sweden to visit Marstrand Island.  It was a very fun trip and one that Chadd will never forget!  Thank you Tucker Family!
